Felsenland-Touren & Felsenland-Pfädchen
In total, this region offers twelve Premium Trails, the “Felsenland-Touren”, as well as four Premium Walking Trails, the “Felsenland-Pfädchen”. They are located in one of Central Europe’s largest continuous forest areas, the Palatinate Forest–North Vosges Biosphere Reserve.
Narrow, enchanted paths and excellent signposting create unique hiking moments. Colourful forests alternate with open valleys, clear streams and picturesque villages. The monumental sandstone towers and cliffs are breathtaking – especially once their sweeping views open up before you. Picturesque castles and legendary castle ruins are waiting to be discovered.
The Premium Hiking Region Dahner Felsenland
The Felsenland-Touren and Felsenland-Pfädchen in the Dahner Felsenland stand for dreamlike views, varied landscapes and attractive viewpoints. Visitors enjoy a rendezvous between Alsace and the Palatinate, where they can experience bizarre rock formations and varied routes along narrow paths.
With route lengths ranging from five to 33 kilometres, there is a suitable trail for every level. A particular challenge is the multi-day Felsenland Sagenweg, an impressive 86 kilometres long, where legends and stories from the past come to life along the way.
In the border region between Germany and France, hikers experience impressive views and breathtaking rocky landscapes on near-natural paths. Souvenir hunters who have come to appreciate the diversity of the region can purchase the trail waymarking signs for a small fee at the Tourist Information Office.

Component 1: Hiking Opportunities
The region offers one or more:
Premium Walking Trails (Felsenland-Pfädchen)
Certified long-distance trails (Premium Trails or Quality Trails) (Felsenland-Sagenweg + Pfälzer Waldpfad)
A differentiated range of trails for people with disabilities
Component 2: Well Informed
The Premium Hiking Region publishes a printed hiking map featuring all Premium Trails in the region.
An information hotline is available throughout the week. [Mon–Sat]
The trail network is made clearer through categories such as easy and difficult.
Component 3: Hiker-Friendly Hosts
Seasonal culinary events and promotions are offered by local restaurants and are jointly coordinated and marketed by the Hiking Region and participating businesses.
Hiking huts, cafés and snack bars are available along 50% of the Premium Trails; their opening hours and distances from the trail portals are displayed there (maximum 10 minutes away).
Special package offers for hikers are available.

Component 4: Trail Activities and Hiking Events
Additional hiking events and guided hikes on a variety of themes are offered regularly (at least once a year):
