Culinary Hike in Albstadt on the Swabian Alb

Mmmhh ...! Hiking, stopping for refreshments and feasting. That is the motto of this culinary hike. Along the approximately 10-kilometre route around Albstadt on the Swabian Alb, hikers are treated to culinary delights at four different stops.

Explore a varied circular route around Albstadt at your own pace. Along the way, you can enjoy the very best of traditional Swabian cuisine at four different restaurants. Spend a special culinary day combining beautiful views, welcoming places to stop and delicious regional food.

Original Landreisen provides you with the route description, maps and vouchers for the different stops, allowing you to set off independently and hike at your own pace.

Services Included

• Hiking pass including route description and vouchers for the individual stops (self-guided, not accompanied by a guide)

• Breakfast: A small breakfast and a hot drink of your choice at Konditorei/Café Früholz

• Starter: Flädlesuppe (Swabian pancake soup), half a Flammkuchen and a drink of your choice at Hotel Gasthof Süßer Grund

• Main Course: Schnitzel with a side dish and a drink of your choice at Gasthof Fohlenweide

• Final Stop: Bread with lard and onions and a drink of your choice at Brauhaus Zollernalb

A vegetarian option is, of course, also available. Please indicate this in the comments field during the booking process.

• Directions to the restaurants are included in your hiking pass.

• Advance booking is required.

• The Culinary Hike can be booked from Friday to Sunday between March and November.

• There is no minimum number of participants.

• The hike takes place in all weather conditions.

Car park at Albstadt-Ebingen railway station, Bahnhofstr. 4, 72458 Albstadt-Ebingen
Coordinates: 48.210587, 9.025478. From here, you set off independently on your hike to your first stop at Café Früholz.

The total duration is approximately 6.5 hours, from 10:30 a.m. to around 5:00 p.m. The route is approximately 10 kilometres long.
